Markington C of E Primary and Nursery School caters for funded and non-funded 3 and 4 year olds. Eligible children can access up to 15 hours per week, or an extended entitlement of 30 hours per week free childcare and education during term time.

Delivery for the Flexible Entitlement
Parents can take their 15 or 30 hours as a mixture of full and part days subject to availability. In order to maintain continuity we would ask that you undertake a minimum of 3 sessions per week.
Nursery Sessions are:
Morning session 9.00am - 12noon (3 hours)
Lunch 12pm-1pm (1hour) *
Afternoon Session 1.00pm - 3.00pm (2 hours)
Additional Hours - Sessions
Whether you are entitled to 15 or 30 hours free funding, you have the option to pre-book additional sessions. These can be a combination of mornings, afternoons, lunchtimes or full days, and are payable in advance. This facility enables continuity of provision within our setting, and avoids the need for children to be collected and taken to another provider.
To enable your child to settle well at their new school, we offer two sessions free of charge for transition – this enables them to make new friends and get to know the adults and our provision,in preparation for starting Nursery. These can be arranged via the school office.
Markington School also has a Breakfast and After School Club. However, for our youngest children, attendance can make their school day very long - therefore this arrangement is part of a joint discussion between home and school, and is particular to each individual.

3-4 Year Old Nursery Charges
Additional 3 hour morning session £12.45
Hot Lunch £2.50 plus £4.15 lunch hour session
Additional 2 hour afternoon session 1.00pm - 3.00pm £8.30
